This page describes what SearchPokerTournaments.com actually collects and why — written to match what the site really does, not a generic template. If anything here seems unclear, contact us.
What we collect
Just browsing (no account needed)
We log page views and outbound link clicks (which page, which link, an anonymous session ID, and your browser's user-agent string) to understand what's popular and to give real usage numbers to advertising partners — never tied to your name or email unless you separately give it to us. The session ID lives in your browser's sessionStorage and clears itself when you close the tab; it's not a persistent tracking cookie.
If you use the "Save" (heart icon) feature on a tournament, that list is stored only in your browser's local storage — it never leaves your device and we never see it.
Tournament Alerts signup
If you sign up for email alerts, we store your email address, your alert preferences (region, minimum guarantee), and optionally a WhatsApp/Telegram number if you provide one. We use this only to send you tournament-matching alerts and to confirm your subscription. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any alert email.
Submitting a tournament or sharing a hand
If you submit a tournament through our organizer program, or share a hand for community feedback, we store what you enter (organizer/display name, contact email if provided, and the content itself) so it can be reviewed and, if approved, published.
Who else sees it
| Third party | What they get | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Brevo (email service) | Email, region/GTD preferences, WhatsApp number — only for subscribers | Sending Tournament Alert emails |
| Google Fonts | Your IP address, as with any font request | Loading the site's typefaces |
| Poker rooms / casinos | Standard click/referral data, same as any link you click to their site | Affiliate tracking on outbound "Register"/"Play" links |
We do not sell your data to anyone, for any reason.
Cookies
We don't set tracking cookies for general browsing. The admin panel (staff-only, not for players) uses a standard login session cookie — that's authentication, not tracking.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from Tournament Alerts anytime via the link in any alert email, or by contacting us.
- Clear your browser's local storage to remove your saved-tournaments list — it was never sent to us anyway.
- Ask us to delete your data (email/subscription/submission) by contacting us — we'll action it, no questions asked.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect changes meaningfully, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
